Discover stories, follow clues, and solve puzzles together: Three diverse adventure trails are being created at Wasserfallen for families, children, and school groups.
Together with Flix, Mara, and Luca—or the curious naturalist—explorers of all ages can immerse themselves in the fascinating nature, history, and secrets of the Jura Mountains and Wasserfallen. Together, they’ll listen to stories, follow trails, and solve puzzles. All tours start at the Wasserfallen cable car’s mountain station and combine outdoor activity with playful learning, exciting challenges, and shared experiences.

Tour 1: Flix - Guardians of the Waterfalls
Puzzle Trail for Families
The puzzle trail, which is about 1 kilometer long, is designed for children ages 6 and up and their families. Flix needs help finding the culprit who’s causing all the chaos. Using a paper map, participants make their way from station to station: information boards throughout the area provide clues, tricky puzzles need to be solved, and hidden clues await discovery.
In addition, audio drama elements—which can be accessed via a QR code on a smartphone—provide even more adventure on the go. A special highlight is the marble run, which is currently under construction.
Families should plan on spending about 1 to 1.5 hours on the adventure trail.

Escape Game for Explorers
For children ages 10 and up, a more challenging adventure awaits: The Escape Game at Wasserfallen combines puzzles, nature exploration, and team spirit. Using a smartphone app, a puzzle booklet, information boards, and the unique features of the surroundings, participants—either on their own or as a team—solve exciting challenges to find out what the stranger on the Wasserfallen is up to.
The tour, which is about 3.5 kilometers long, requires ingenuity, focus, and good teamwork. Depending on the group, the escape game takes about 2 to 2.5 hours.
Tour 3: Water Falls Research Assignment
Educational Trail for School Classes
Following the same route as the escape game, a specially designed interactive trail for school groups is being created. Working in small groups, students use a workbook and the on-site stations to explore exciting topics related to the nature, history, and landscape of the Wasserfallen and the Jura Mountains. There’s plenty to discover on this group expedition, and numerous challenges must be solved to crack the secret solution word.
The trail, which is about 3.5 kilometers long, offers a varied complement to the school hike and combines classroom learning with an active day outdoors. The tour is expected to take about 2 to 2.5 hours.
