Scooter-Fun Ride
Experience the magnificent Jura mountains on two wheels and enjoy a leisurely or fast-paced ride down into the valley.
At the mountain station, you’ll receive a scooter and a helmet upon presenting your ticket; return them at the valley station. And in between? Four kilometers of pure fun!
Information
- Tickets can be purchased online, at the base station, and at the mountain station.
- Scooters and helmets are distributed at the upper station.
- Groups of 10 or more are asked to let us know in advance how many scooters they will need.
Rules
- The minimum age for riding a scooter independently is 10 years old, and the minimum height is 135 cm. Children must be able to operate the brakes. Younger children must ride with an adult; the rider must be at least 18 years old. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions. Children 13 years and older may ride without being accompanied by an adult.
- The maximum weight capacity of the scooter is 120 kg.
- Wearing a helmet is mandatory
- Practice braking before starting your descent
- If you’re unsure about anything, ask the train staff for instructions
- It is prohibited to ride with a child in a child carrier backpack!
- Please review the route map in advance (at the upper station)
- Renting a Trotti bike entitles you to a direct ride from the mountain station to the valley station
- Do not leave the marked trail
- Keep both feet on the footrest while driving
- Caution: Road Conditions—Forest road with ruts, potholes, rocks, etc.
- Never brake with your feet
- Drive slowly, adjusting your speed to the conditions and your skill level
- Most of the route is through the woods—watch out for obstacles!
- Use of the scooters is at your own risk
- Please note: The street is not closed to local traffic!

It takes between 20 and 30 minutes to cover the approximately 4.5-kilometer route from the mountain station to Reigoldswil.

Children who are at least 10 years old and 135 cm tall may ride their own scooter when accompanied by an adult. Children 13 years of age and older may ride a scooter without adult supervision.
