Another worthwhile weekend destination is the SAC Baselland Waldweidhütte. The hut is located right next to the Waldweide restaurant, at the edge of the forest on the Krete.
The SAC Waldweidhütte is located at 1,028 meters above sea level in the Wasserfallen region, a beautiful destination for hiking and day trips. It sits idyllically at the edge of the forest on a ridge, offering a magnificent view of the Alps. The SAC hut offers overnight accommodations with 20 beds in a dormitory-style room. It is owned by the Baselland Section and is run every weekend by various volunteer hut teams. Special opening hours during the holidays can be found on the website.
