70 years of Wasserfallenbahn & 20 years of yellow gondolas - and not a bit old!
The Wasserfallen cable car has always been in transition. It has adapted, remained innovative and courageous, grown – and evolved from a simple transport railway into an adventure region. We are celebrating this double anniversary this year with our new offering, the "interactive Wasserfallen adventure trails."
An adventure region delights guests from near and far, but it also brings challenges: experiences, adventure, nature conservation, and tranquility must be carefully considered and coordinated so that the region can move sustainably into the future. One thing has remained the same: people come to Wasserfallen to enjoy nature and experience something special.
With this in mind, we sought an anniversary surprise that gives something back to the region, thanks visitors for their long-standing loyalty, and raises awareness for the careful treatment of nature. There are many adventure trails – but not all adventure trails are created equal. The word “interactive” makes the difference: children are not guided by signs or a smartphone alone, but by an interplay of various elements: tactile objects, nature, displays, audio plays, and a smartphone app.
We would like to express our sincere thanks for the financial assistance, without which we would not have been able to implement this exciting project:
