A cable car has been running from Reigoldswil to Wasserfallen since the 1950s. The current gondola lift replaced the original system long ago and has been transporting our guests to Wasserfallen since 2006.
The gondolas run continuously. So you don’t need to remember a departure time or reserve a seat. When you arrive, just hop into the next available gondola and glide up to Wasserfallen.
There’s more waiting up top than you’d expect from down below. Marked hiking trails wind through Jura pastures and forests, mountain restaurants invite you to take a break, and depending on the season, you can ride a scooter or sled back down into the valley. For families, the adventure playground and the forest rope course are just a few steps away from the mountain station.
Here’s a tip for fall and winter: Just because there’s fog in the valley doesn’t mean much. The mountain station is high enough that on many days, it’s above the fog. A look at our live cams will show you what to expect.
