Sledding Fun
The most exhilarating winter activity in northwestern Switzerland: the toboggan run from Wasserfalle to Reigoldswil. At the mountain station, you can exchange your ticket for a rental toboggan and enjoy the thrilling ride through the snowy winter landscape back down to the valley station in Reigoldswil.
Information
Tickets for sled rentals are available at the ticket office at the mountain and valley stations. (Of course, you can also bring your own sled.)
Sleds are distributed at the mountain station.
Groups of 10 or more are asked to let us know in advance how many sleds they will need.
Rules
- For sledding, you’ll need good shoes and warm clothes
- Review the route map in advance
- Renting a sled entitles you to a direct ride from the mountain station to the valley station
- Do not leave the marked trail
- In the upper section, there is gravel on the left side of the road; stay to the right
- Most of the route is through the woods—watch out for obstacles!
- Drive slowly, adjusting your speed to the conditions and your skill level
- Keep a safe distance from the sled in front of you
- Sledding only while seated (lying on your stomach is prohibited)
- Connecting multiple sleds is prohibited
- Use of the sled is at your own risk
- Please note: The street is not closed to local traffic!
What should I do in the event of an accident?
- Secure the accident scene
- Administer first aid
- Notify the railway staff at the valley station immediately: 061 941 18 20 (Do not call an ambulance directly)
- Stay with the injured person until help arrives
