Reigoldwil⁠-⁠Wasserfallen Cable Car Foundation

The Reigoldswil-Wasserfallen Cable Car Foundation (LRW) operates the cable car and is committed to the sustainable development of the Wasserfallen region. As a foundation, we act independently, for the public good, and in the service of the public. We do not seek to maximize profits; rather, our goal is to sustainably ensure public access to this popular recreational area and to strengthen the region’s significance in terms of tourism, landscape, and community in the long term.

We are hosts in the Wasserfallen region, building bridges between partners, tourists, and locals; we create unforgettable experiences and serve as a driving force for the region. As a nonprofit foundation, we bear a special responsibility toward the local community, the environment, and our partners. We are committed to careful, safe, and high-quality operations, with a focus on what matters most, an eye for the big picture, and a passion for what we do. We are dedicated to the region and its people.

As the owner of the infrastructure, we ensure—in accordance with our foundation’s mission—that the aerial tramway can be operated safely, modernly, and reliably. At the same time, we invest in programs, projects, and partnerships that make Wasserfallen attractive to both locals and visitors—from family outings and nature experiences to educational and recreational activities.

The Foundation Board is composed of representatives from the region, the municipalities, and other partners. Together, we take responsibility for the careful stewardship of nature and the landscape, for economically sustainable management, and for the continued development of the Wasserfallen as an important local recreation area in northwestern Switzerland. In this way, the foundation bridges tradition and the future and creates the conditions necessary for future generations to experience the Wasserfallen in all its diversity.
